Fine lines and wrinkles are sometimes firmed by the use of botox injections in newer techniques.

The procedure usually takes between one and three hours and is typically performed in the cosmetic surgeon's office. The eyelid surgery will most likely last longer if there are additional cosmetic procedures being performed.

Post operative instructions will usually call for limited movement and plenty of rest. By doing this, the healing process will be sped up and recovery time will decrease. Eyelid lift patients will sometimes report minor pain after the surgery, but this can usually be treated with oral medication. Complications are rare, but there is always some risk with every procedure. Patients can lower their risk by following the instructions of their plastic surgeon.
